Sri Lanka’s women’s cricket team has announced their squad for an upcoming tour of New Zealand, which includes a series of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Notably absent from the squad are left-arm spinner Inoka Ranaweera and seam-bowling allrounder Ama Kanchana, whose exclusion signals a strategic shift in team composition. Additionally, batter Hasini Perera and 16-year-old left-arm wristspinner Shashini Gambini are not included in the lineup for the 2024 T20 World Cup, marking a shift towards a more experienced and battle-hardened group.
