The Tomb’s Easter Egg Quest Gets a Boost in Season Two Reloaded
The Tomb, a beloved and complex map in the Zombies mode of Black Ops 6, has been a focal point for many players. Despite its popularity, not everyone has been able to complete its intricate Easter egg quest. To address this, Activision has introduced Directed Mode to The Tomb in Season Two Reloaded, which is set to launch on February 20. This new feature provides players with a clear and structured path to complete the map’s main Easter egg, making it more accessible to a broader audience. Additionally, the update brings a plethora of new content, including weapons, power-ups, and a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration.
Season Two Reloaded: A Sneak Peek at the Zombie Updates
While Season Two Reloaded might be light on Zombies content, it sets the stage for a more robust update in Season Three, expected to roll out at the end of March. The midseason update focuses on refining and enhancing the current Zombies experience, with a particular emphasis on bug fixes, item tweaks, and balance adjustments. These changes aim to improve stability and ensure a smoother gameplay experience. As with previous updates, players can expect detailed patch notes to be released on patch day, providing a comprehensive list of what’s new and what’s different in the Zombies mode.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Invade Black Ops 6
One of the most exciting additions in Season Two Reloaded is the collaboration with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). The Turtles—Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael—are making their mark in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Each Turtle comes with a unique operator bundle, offering players a wide range of new cosmetic items and weapons. But the TMNT influence doesn’t stop at cosmetics. The update introduces a new game mode called Cowabunga Cranked, which adds a fast-paced, high-stakes twist to the Zombies experience. Players can join any existing Zombies map and play this variant mode, where eliminating a zombie triggers a Cranked timer. If the timer hits zero before another zombie is eliminated, the player explodes. The addition of TMNT power-ups, such as Turtle Power, Pizza Box, and Slice-O-Pie, further fuels the intensity and excitement of this mode.
Directed Mode: Navigating The Tomb’s Easter Egg
The introduction of Directed Mode to The Tomb is a significant enhancement for players looking to complete the map’s main Easter egg. This mode provides a clear, step-by-step guide on how to navigate the map’s challenges, ensuring that players are not left feeling lost or frustrated. The maximum round cap of 15 also makes it an ideal choice for farming Zombies for camos and other in-game challenges. This update not only makes the Easter egg quest more accessible but also adds a layer of structure and clarity to the gameplay, enhancing the overall experience for both seasoned and new players.
New Weapons and Power-Ups for the Battle
In addition to the TMNT collaboration, Season Two Reloaded introduces a suite of new weapons and power-ups to the Zombies mode. The melee weapon lineup now includes Leonardo’s Dual Katanas, Donatello’s Bo Staff, Michelangelo’s Nunchaku, and Raphael’s Sais, each offering unique gameplay mechanics and styles. A Skateboard melee weapon is also being added, providing a new and creative way to dispatch Zombies. The D1.3 Sector, a blade launcher, is another special weapon that players can unlock, adding a new dimension to their arsenal. These new additions not only diversify the weapon selection but also bring fresh and exciting mechanics to the Zombies mode.
Limited Time Events: TMNT and Clover Craze
To cap off the season, two limited time events are set to bring even more excitement to the Zombies mode. The first event, CoD x TMNT, runs from February 27 to March 13 and includes an in-game mid-season Event Pass. Players can earn rewards such as the new ‘Splinter’ Operator, Skateboard Melee Weapon, and the D1.3 Sector special weapon. The second event, Clover Craze, takes place from March 13 to March 20. During this event, players can earn different types of clovers by eliminating enemies in multiplayer and Zombies modes, as well as opening caches in Warzone. The rare gold clover offers the most points, and redeeming it unlocks the ‘Cloverleaf’ AMES AR Blueprint. These events provide players with additional incentives to engage with the game, offering a mix of challenges and rewards to keep the experience fresh and engaging.
