Discovering the Armored Train in Fortnite
In Fortnite Chapter Six, Season Two, the Armored Train is a highly sought-after target, brimming with valuable loot and Gold Bars. To locate it, keep an eye on the map for a distinctive icon: a train with a vault symbol and an exclamation mark beside it. This icon changes color to indicate the train’s status—white means it’s free for the taking, while red signifies that it’s currently being robbed. It’s crucial to check this status before making your move to avoid arriving too late. The best strategy is to spot the train’s path from the Battle Bus and drop to a location ahead of it. This way, you can gather necessary supplies and be ready to board the train as it passes by. One essential item you’ll need is Thermite, which can be found in golden loot bags on railway bridges, as floor loot, and in chests. You only need two pieces of Thermite, one for each turret atop the train.
Breaking into the Armored Train
Once you’ve boarded the Armored Train, the turrets will immediately start firing at you. Your first priority should be to neutralize these turrets. Timing is key; the turrets will shoot several times and then overheat. Use this downtime to run over and throw a piece of Thermite at them. When the turrets explode, they will drop Thermite Cores. Use one of these cores to blow open the train’s vault entrance. As the entrance is exposed, guards will begin to spawn. Take them down one by one while looting as much as you can. The train’s vault is a treasure trove, containing regular chests, rare chests with better loot, and glass cases with Dill Bits, which can be spent on mythic and legendary items at any Black Market. Don’t forget to mine all the Gold Bars, as they can be incredibly useful for various in-game activities.
Locating the Armored Trucks
In addition to the Armored Train, Fortnite Chapter Six, Season Two also features Armored Trucks. These vehicles can be identified on the map by small truck symbols, which appear after the first storm circle has closed in. Typically, there are three Armored Trucks driving around the island, and they often stop at Gas Stations, making them easier to heist. Like the train, you’ll need Thermite to break into these trucks. The best approach is to grab the Thermite before heading to the truck’s location. Once you’re in position, throw the Thermite at the back of the truck and wait for the explosion. This will open the truck, allowing you to access its contents.
Breaking into an Armored Truck
After the Thermite has done its job, guards will appear to defend the truck. Fortunately, these guards are relatively easy to take out, but you should remain vigilant as other players might have the same idea. Once the guards are defeated, the truck will spill its loot all over the road. Gather what you need, including the Chug Jug, which now provides multiple heals instead of just one. You can then jump into the back of the truck and drive away. The Armored Truck has 2,000 HP armor, making it highly resilient to enemy fire. Although it’s a slow-moving vehicle, it has a boost function to help you speed up. Just remember to stop at Gas Stations to refill the tank when needed.
Maximizing Your Loot
Both the Armored Train and Armored Truck offer a wealth of valuable items and resources. The train’s vault is particularly rich, containing a mix of regular and rare chests, as well as Dill Bits for purchasing high-tier loot at Black Markets. The truck, while less extensive, still provides a significant amount of loot, including the Chug Jug and other useful items. Whether you choose to heist the train or the truck, the key is to be prepared with Thermite and to act quickly and efficiently. Taking out the turrets and guards is crucial, but so is looting as much as possible before the competition arrives.
Exploring Further
After successfully breaking into the armored vehicles in Fortnite Chapter Six, Season Two, there are plenty of other exciting activities to explore. For instance, you can aim to obtain the Unstoppable Medallion, which grants you temporary invincibility. Additionally, there are 15 NPCs scattered around the island, and three of them run Black Market stalls where you can spend your Dill Bits on rare and powerful items. These stalls are a great way to enhance your loadout and gain an edge over your opponents. So, whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a new player, the armored vehicles and the island’s other features offer endless opportunities for adventure and reward.
