Candy Stickemup is a Goblin with a Rogue-type move set, making her a tricky but soloable opponent. Found underneath the stairs to the right of the Junkyard Junket race marker, Candy Stickemup uses poisons, steals armor to boost damage taken, and deals nasty melee damage. We successfully soloed her with an ilvl 605 Fire Mage by kiting her through Meteor showers. Another soloable Rare, Grimewick, is a tameable creature found on the Blackwater Marina beach. Hunters can capture it and keep it as their pet. During the fight, be mindful of its two AoE attacks and heavy melee attack. Similarly, Nitro, an armored canine Rare found southeast of the Incontinental Hotel, can be tamed by Hunters. It uses a blend of Shadow and physical attacks, making it a valuable addition to any Hunter’s stable.
Group Rares: Challenges for the Brave
Chief Foreman Gutso is a mechanical Rare found in The Heaps, near the path towards the edge of the map. This Rare has a variety of attacks, including a physical attack with a stun, a rocket barrage, a stat boost, and the ability to summon Wildlife Removal Units. defeating Gutso can yield the Bulletscar Barricade Shield or Rocket-Powered Shoulderguards Shoulder piece. S.A.L., a Super Augmented Laborer, is another challenging Rare found southwest of the Demolition Dome, close to the road. S.A.L. uses mines, lightning chains, and a self-healing ability, making it a significant challenge. The Junk-Wall is one of the trickiest Rares in Undermine, found patrolling the right-hand side of the Gallagio. This large mech Rare Elite has a blend of physical attacks and Nature damage, along with a staggering health stat, and is best tackled with a group.
The Court of Rats: A Trio of Challenges
Court of Rats refers to three separate Rares—Ratspit, Grime, and Grease. Only Ratspit counts towards the Adventurer of Undermine achievement. These creatures can be found individually by hopping inside a sewer grate in the Hovel Hill area, specifically in the backyard of an NPC house. Each of these Rares has unique abilities, making them a diverse and challenging set of enemies. Ratspit is the main target and can be particularly tricky due to its fast and unpredictable attacks. However, with careful positioning and coordination, even a solo player can take them down.
The Summoning Rares: Cartel Challenges
To summon Giovante, the Steamwheedle Cartel Rare, a Steamwheedle Cartel player must head to the south of the Steamwheedle Laboratories in The Vatworks and speak to the Noggenfogger Recall Technician. The summoning event involves a progress bar, which players must fill up by throwing barrels at enemies and rescuing customers. M.A.G.N.O., the Bilgewater Cartel Rare, can be found at the top of the Scrapshop Building in Bilgewater Flats. A Bilgewater player must speak to Ragzy Cashgrab to start the summoning process, which involves filling a progress bar by killing mobs or interacting with scrap metal items. Scrapchewer, the Venture Company Cartel Rare, can be found in the center of The Heaps. A Venture Company player must speak to Scrapminer Kazzik to start the summoning, which involves powering up a drill. However, some players have reported bugs with this process, making it difficult to interact with the drill. Voltstrike the Charged, found in Blackwater Marina, is another Cartel Rare that can be buggy. Players must speak to Boatwright Frankle to start the summoning process, but issues with the generator power can prevent some from contributing.

Slugger the Smart can be found to the northeast across the street from the Incontinental Hotel, in the Pleasant Hills area. This Rare favors both Shadow and physical damage, with the ability to restore health via Siphon Blood. Defeating Slugger can yield the Shadowfume Club weapon, an ilvl 600 one-hand Mace. Thwack, the Darkfuse Debt Collector, can be found at Pleasant Heights, overlooking the Gallagio on the corner. Thwack has an enrage, physical attack, and knock-back, making it a challenging opponent for melee classes with lower-level gear.
