The Unrivaled Meowscarada Tera Raid event will run from Thursday, February 27 at 6:00 PM CT until Thursday, March 6 at 5:59 PM CT. This limited-time opportunity is followed by similar events for the other two Paldean Starters, Skeledirge and Quaquaval. During the three Tera Raid events, players can also enjoy special mass outbreaks. These outbreaks will feature a variety of Pokémon, including Charcadet, Smoliv, Finizen, Applin, Sewaddle, Poliwag, Porygon, Scyther, and Lapras, appearing in Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy’s Terarium. These outbreaks add an extra layer of excitement and are perfect for players looking to catch rare or hard-to-find Pokémon.
Finding the Unrivaled Meowscarada Tera Raid
Finding the Unrivaled Meowscarada Tera Raid is straightforward, but it does require a few steps. First, ensure your Nintendo Switch is connected to the internet and that your Poké Portal news is up-to-date. Next, open your Paldea map and look for a black Tera Raid icon with the Grass Tera Type symbol. Set this icon as your destination and head towards it. Fly to the nearest Pokémon Center or landmark, and follow the orange flag on your mini-map until you reach the Tera Raid. Once you arrive, interact with the black crystal to confirm that it’s a seven-star raid featuring the silhouette of Meowscarada.
Catching the Unrivaled Meowscarada
Players are limited to catching one Unrivaled Meowscarada with the Mightiest Mark from the seven-star Tera Raid event. While you can rechallenge the raid for rewards, you won’t be able to catch another Meowscarada with the same rare mark. However, there are other ways to obtain Meowscarada in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The most straightforward method is to select Sprigatito as your Starter and evolve it all the way to Meowscarada. If you chose a different Starter, you can trade for a Meowscarada from another player. Once you have a Meowscarada, you can breed it to hatch more if needed. Previously, there was a free Mystery Gift Sprigatito, but that offer has expired.
Optimizing Meowscarada with the Right Nature
To make the most of your Meowscarada, training it with the right Nature is crucial. Sprigatito, Floragato, and Meowscarada excel in Speed and Attack, making the Jolly (+ Speed, – Special Attack) or Adamant (+ Attack, – Special Attack) Natures the best choices. A Jolly Meowscarada can leverage its 123 base Speed to move quickly, while an Adamant Meowscarada can deal powerful physical attacks. Key moves like Night Slash, Knock Off, U-turn, and its signature move Flower Trick can be particularly effective. Meowscarada’s high Speed makes it a formidable opponent, but be wary of faster Pokémon like Flutter Mane or Chien-Pao.

Beating the Unrivaled Meowscarada Tera Raid requires a well-prepared team. Meowscarada is a Grass/Dark-type Pokémon and will have the Grass Tera Type for this event.
