These botanical displays, known as Botany Exhibits, add a unique and vibrant touch to your museum, attracting visitors with their rare and often bizarre characteristics. However, these plants require special care and attention to thrive, so let’s delve into how you can unlock and maintain them in your museum.

Unlocking Botany Exhibits in Two Point Museum

Caring for Your Botany Exhibits

As the curator, it’s your responsibility to ensure that your new displays are in the best condition possible to attract visitors and encourage donations. Unlike regular exhibits, which only need experts nearby for restoration, Botany Exhibits require continuous maintenance to keep the plants healthy and thriving. The best way to manage this is to section off an area and dedicate it solely to Botany Exhibits. Most of these plants will need Heaters and Misters to maintain the right temperature and humidity levels.

Heaters and Misters

Heaters and Misters are essential tools for maintaining the health of your plant exhibits. Here’s what they do:

  • Heaters: Raise the temperature around where they are placed in a 15 x 15 tile area. The Heater area is visualized in red, and you can check its effect by hovering your cursor over it.
  • Misters: Raise the humidity around where they are placed in a 15 x 15 tile area. The Mister area is visualized in blue, and you can check its effect similarly.

If a plant is outside of the effective area of a Heater or Mister, it will display a warning icon showing what it requires. Regularly check the status of each plant by clicking on it and looking at the condition percentage. Once it falls below 50 percent, you have limited time to act before it dies.

Calling in the Botany Expert

To keep your plants in optimal condition, you need a Botany Expert nearby at all times. These experts can water the plants and prevent them from dying. You can click on the Expert icon to call in the Botany Expert, and if they don’t arrive quickly enough, you can manually pick one up and drag them to the plant that needs attention.

The Importance of Regular Maintenance

Regular exhibits such as fossil displays and inventions only need experts nearby to help with restoration. However, Botany Exhibits require continuous care. Plants that are not properly maintained will wither and die, becoming useless and needing to be sold or deleted. Replacing a dead plant means going on another Expedition, which can be time-consuming and resource-intensive. Therefore, it’s crucial to keep a watchful eye over your plants and check their status regularly.

The Impact on Your Museum

Healthy and well-maintained Botany Exhibits can significantly enhance the appeal of your museum. Visitors are drawn to the unique and exotic plants, and they are more likely to donate money to support your efforts. A thriving Botany section can also boost the overall rating of your museum, making it a more desirable destination for tourists and enthusiasts.

By dedicating time and resources to the care of your Botany Exhibits, you not only ensure their survival but also create a more vibrant and engaging environment for your visitors. So, roll up your sleeves, grab your watering can, and get ready to nurture these fascinating plants into the crown jewels of your museum!
