A Quick Guide to the Recharge Drone
The Recharge Drone is one of the five Drones you can purchase from the Service Station in R.E.P.O. While its spawn isn’t guaranteed, it’s usually worth the 4K-5K Energy Crystals if available. Once you buy it, the Drone will spawn inside your truck, waiting to be assigned to one of your inventory slots (keys 1, 2, or 3). To use the Drone, simply equip it and press "E." The primary function of the Recharge Drone is to replenish the charge of items that have run out of power. This is particularly useful for electrical items like the Extraction and Valuables Tracker, as well as melee weapons such as the Frying Pan, Inflatable Hammer, and Sword.
How It Works

For instance, swinging a melee weapon or running a Tracker for an extended period can quickly deplete the charge. When an item runs out of power, you can swap to the Recharge Drone and activate it. The Drone will lift into the air, allowing you to select the item you need to recharge. It’s important to turn the item off before the Drone latches onto it to ensure efficient recharging. While the Drone can technically refuel an item in use, it’s not recommended because the Drone’s own charge will drain faster.

This station is powered by Energy Crystals, which you can use to recharge the Drone. Place the dead Drone inside the compartment next to the Crystal, and watch as its charge bar fills back up to five full squares. This process is quick and straightforward, ensuring you can continue using the Drone without having to purchase a new one.
