In an interview with Sky Sport Italia, he admitted to still feeling the effects of a prolonged injury and the distractions of transfer speculation, but he is determined to lead his team forward.

The Bianconeri faced a challenging encounter against Hellas Verona, a team that has consistently been difficult to break down. Both sides had goals disallowed, but Juventus eventually secured a 2-0 victory, thanks to Khephren Thuram and Teun Koopmeiners. Cambiaso, who provided the assist for Thuram’s goal, was pleased with the team’s performance, especially after a slow start. "We had a good performance, apart from the first five minutes when we allowed two shots on target," he stated. "These games are always difficult, but we did well, creating many clear-cut scoring opportunities. We should’ve scored in the first half too, but the goals arrived after the break."

"I get asked that a lot, and I never manage to give a real answer because it depends on the team and also on the opponents. I just like to help my teammates, and today I had to stay a bit deeper to keep the balance against Verona counter-attacks."

"From December 7, it has been quite a tough period for me, both personally and as a team. I am still not at 100 per cent now, to be honest, but I’m trying to get back into shape," he shared. The injury he suffered was not severe, but it did affect his mobility and performance. Additionally, the speculation surrounding a possible €80 million transfer to Manchester City in January added to the mental strain.
