"At Zingonia [the Atalanta training complex] I had confirmation of what I imagined from the outside," he said. He also noted that, throughout his career, from his early days at Milanello to his time at Monza, he has always been fortunate to work in excellent conditions. The consistent high standards of training and development across these clubs have been instrumental in his growth as a player.

I don’t see it as pressure. I know it may seem strange, but I’ve always been used to living with this situation and it has never bothered me, not even as a child," he explained. His father, Paolo Maldini, a legend in his own right, has provided him with invaluable advice and support. "Certainly my father, with his experience, is precious. He gave me important advice, but the whole family always supports me in my choices, including this move to Atalanta," he said, highlighting the importance of family in his decision-making process.
