Training with the Best: Magomed Zaynukov’s Unwavering Confidence

Magomed Zaynukov, the undefeated MMA lightweight contender, is no stranger to high-level competition. Known as "Wild Chanco," he has honed his skills training alongside some of the most elite fighters in the world. His list of training partners includes UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, PFL champion Gadzhi Rabadanov, Bellator champion Usman Nurmagomedov, and UAE Warriors champion Amru Magomedov. This elite company has given Zaynukov the confidence he needs to compete at the highest levels, including the world’s biggest promotions like the UFC.

Preparing for UAE Warriors 58

Zaynukov is set to face Shakhmar Sadygov at UAE Warriors 58, a significant step in his journey to the world stage. With an unbeaten record of six professional bouts, his focus is laser-sharp on delivering a solid performance and securing the victory. "My plan is to win this fight and hopefully during the summer, I want to fight in Contender Series," Zaynukov shared through a translator. His ultimate goal is clear: to join the UFC, the pinnacle of MMA. Zaynukov has already had a taste of what it’s like to be in the UFC’s orbit, having been part of Makhachev’s camp in the U.S. He observed how the UFC staff takes care of their fighters, reinforcing his belief that the UFC is the best promotion in the world. For now, however, he remains grounded and focused on the task at hand.

A Well-Rounded Fighter with a Knockout Punch

Training with champions has not only bolstered Zaynukov’s confidence but also refined his skills. His background in muay Thai has played a crucial role in his MMA career, with five of his six professional victories coming via knockout. "I have seen UFC fighters fight. I watch them, and I don’t see anything special in my division, to be honest," Zaynukov stated. "I’m fully capable of fighting straight in the UFC. I think my level is at this point now." His confidence is well-justified, given the caliber of his training partners. Zaynukov’s belief in his abilities is further reinforced by the fact that he trains with the pound-for-pound No. 1 fighter and UFC champion, Islam Makhachev.

Strategy and Preparation for the Fight

Zaynukov is well-prepared for his bout against Sadygov, expecting a dynamic and engaging match. "I cannot tell you how we’re gonna get the job done, but of course, we break his fights down with the team and everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has holes, so does my next opponent," he explained. His team has thoroughly analyzed Sadygov’s fighting style, identifying weaknesses that Zaynukov plans to exploit. Despite the pressure of this high-stakes fight, Zaynukov remains calm and focused. He is eager to showcase his skills and prove that he belongs among the top fighters in the lightweight division.

Ambitions Beyond UAE Warriors

While Zaynukov is fully committed to his upcoming fight, his sights are set on bigger goals. His teammate Amru Magomedov currently holds the 155-pound championship in UAE Warriors, and Zaynukov respects his position. However, if Magomedov were to vacate the belt for any reason, Zaynukov is more than ready to step up and challenge for the title. "Everybody wants the shiny belt. Of course I wanna fight for the belt. In that case, if Amru vacates the belt, of course I want to. And it doesn’t matter against who. Anybody, I’ll fight for the belt against anybody," he articulated. His ambition is clear, and he is prepared to take on any challenge that comes his way.

The Path Forward

For now, Zaynukov is focused on executing his plan and securing a victory over Sadygov. He understands that each step in his career is crucial and that consistent performance is the key to reaching his ultimate goal. Whether it is through the Contender Series or a direct opportunity in the UFC, Zaynukov is determined to make his mark in the world of MMA. With his elite training partners, unwavering confidence, and strategic approach, "Wild Chanco" is poised to make a formidable impact in the lightweight division.
