Formula 1 Teams Unveil 2025 Livery at Historic London Event

In a historic first for Formula 1, all 10 teams gathered at London’s O2 Arena to unveil their 2025 liveries in a collective launch event. This occasion, marking the 75th anniversary of the championship, brought together fans and teams to showcase the vibrant and innovative designs that will grace the tracks next season. The event, held in the former Millennium Dome, was a celebration of the sport’s rich heritage and its future.

Sauber: A Fresh Twist on Neon Green

Sauber kicked off the presentations with a livery that builds on the neon green and carbon grey scheme from the previous season. The new design features a green nose that fades into grey along the rear half, reminiscent of their Las Vegas scheme from 2024. Sauber boss Mattia Binotto was enthusiastic about the new look, stating, "I feel energised for the new season. We are really looking forward to showing how capable we are in 2025, which will be an important year for us."

Williams: A Royal Blue Gradient

Following Sauber, Williams unveiled a livery with a dark-to-royal blue gradient from front to back, accented by white trim. The popular Duracell battery intake remains, and the team has added Atlassian as a title sponsor. Team principal James Vowles expressed his excitement, saying, "This F175 is fantastic. It’s an amazing event, and racing is in our heart. We can’t wait for the season to start."

Racing Bulls: White with Red and Yellow Accents

Racing Bulls, known as RB in 2024, presented a sleek white scheme with red and yellow Red Bull iconography on the nose and rollhoop, and blue branding at the rear. Team boss Laurent Mekies emphasized the team’s philosophy: "Our mantra is performance obsessed, no blame, and no nonsense. We are building our project around these principles."

Haas: More White, Less Carbon

Haas confirmed the livery that had previously leaked online, featuring more white than the largely nude-carbon look from last year. The new design includes a larger white portion on the nose and sidepods, set off by black and red secondary hues in angular blocks. New signing Esteban Ocon was thrilled with the car, exclaiming, "It’s been awesome to drive for the first time. We’re happy to present it to you tonight."

Alpine: A Renewed Pink and Blue Scheme

Alpine introduced a refreshed pink and blue livery, reminiscent of the Brabham BT60B from 1992. The pink nose contrasts with a metallic blue chassis, featuring pink BWT imagery on the sidepods and Eni branding on the engine cover. The team opened with a James Bond-themed presentation, adding a touch of glamour to the night.

Aston Martin: British Racing Green with a Twist

Aston Martin showcased the AMR25 livery, maintaining similar British Racing Green tones from last season but with black sidepods bounded by fluorescent yellow. Driver Lance Stroll was impressed, saying, "She looks pretty good, for sure." His teammate Fernando Alonso added, "I’m so much looking forward to this season. The car looks incredible."

Mercedes: A Familiar Silver and Black

Mercedes stuck to a largely similar version of its 2024 livery, with silver, black, and Petronas teal. The INEOS red flash on the roll hoop was removed for a touch more silver. Team boss Toto Wolff praised the event, calling it "an amazing milestone for F1."

Red Bull: Matte Dark Blue with Yellow Accents

Red Bull retained its matte dark blue livery with yellow nose and rollhoop branding, a scheme the team has used since 2016. The consistency in design highlighted the team’s stability and focus on performance.

Ferrari: Classic Red with a White Touch

Ferrari, as expected, was enrobed in red, but with a greater presence of white on the engine cover to feature title sponsor HP. The white front and rear wings, introduced in Miami last year, remain. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, set to make his debut with Ferrari, was invigorated, saying, "I feel so full of life and energy. I’m proud to be part of this new and exciting team."

McLaren: Defending with Papaya and Black

McLaren concluded the unveilings with a livery that closely mirrors last season’s design, featuring a papaya nose and flashes around the rear half of the car. The team, which will defend its title, was confident in its familiar and successful look.

A Night of Music and Excitement

The event was more than just car unveilings; it was a grand celebration of Formula 1. The night included musical performances by mgk (formerly Machine Gun Kelly), American country singer Kane Brown, and pop legends Take That. Hosted by actor and comedian Jack Whitehall, the event set the stage for the upcoming Bahrain pre-season test, where all 10 new car designs will take to the track for their first proper runs.
