Welcome Back to Teamsheet!

Welcome back to Teamsheet, Mail Sport’s original football memory game that adds a fun twist to testing your football knowledge. If you’re a fan of quizzes and football trivia, this is the perfect opportunity to challenge your mates and see who can name the starting XI from a classic Premier League match.

The Match to Remember

This Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will face off in the Premier League, bringing back memories of a memorable clash between these two giants in April 2016. On that day, Spurs clinched a convincing 3-0 victory at their old home, White Hart Lane, as they chased down the unlikely leaders, Leicester City, in the final weeks of the season.

Your Challenge

We’re challenging you to name the starting XI from that thrilling 2016 match. How many of the players can you remember? It’s a fun and nostalgic way to test your knowledge and relive some of the best moments in football. See how you fare and share your score with your friends.

How to Play

The aim of the game is to score as few points as possible. If you guess a player on the first attempt, you score one point. The lowest possible score for guessing every player right on the first try is 11. Here’s how the scoring works:

  • Green Letter: If you guess a correct letter in the right position, it turns green.
  • Yellow Letter: If you guess a correct letter but in the wrong position, it turns yellow.
  • Six Guesses: You have six attempts to guess each player. If you fail to guess correctly, the player’s identity is revealed, and you get 11 points for that player.
  • Free Letter: You can ask for a free letter, but it costs you a point.

Tips and Tricks

To improve your chances of scoring low, here are a few tips:

  1. Start with the Easy Ones: Some players are more memorable than others, especially if they were key figures in that match or the season. Begin with the ones you are most confident about.
  2. Use the Letter Clues: Pay close attention to the green and yellow letters. They can provide valuable clues to help you narrow down the correct answer.
  3. Strategize Your Guesses: Don’t be afraid to make educated guesses. Sometimes, even a wrong guess can help you eliminate possibilities and get closer to the right answer.

Get Ready to Play!

So, are you ready to put your football knowledge to the test? Play on to see if you can achieve the best possible total of 11 points or if you’ll end up with a higher score. Remember, it’s all just for fun, so enjoy the game and share your results with your friends. Best of luck!
