Welcome back to Teamsheet, Mail Sport’s unique and entertaining football memory game where you can test your knowledge against your friends. This isn’t just any quiz; it’s a game of skill, memory, and a bit of luck. Today, we’re diving into a significant moment in recent Manchester United history, a day that encapsulates the club’s ups and downs under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

A Tough Day for the Red Devils

Manchester United, a club steeped in glory, has had its fair share of tough days. One such day was September 19, 2020, when the Red Devils traveled to Old Trafford to face Tottenham Hotspur. What started as a promising match with Bruno Fernandes slotting home a penalty soon turned into a nightmare. By the final whistle, the scoreline read 6-1 in favor of Tottenham, with four different Spurs players finding the back of the net. It was a stark reminder of the challenges facing the club under Solskjaer.

The Challenge Awaits

We’re putting your memory and football knowledge to the test by challenging you to name the starting XI that took the field for Manchester United that fateful day. It’s not just about recalling names; it’s about placing them in the correct positions. Can you remember the goalkeeper who valiantly tried to keep the score down? The defenders who struggled to contain Spurs’ attack? The midfielders who couldn’t quite get a grip on the game? The forwards who couldn’t capitalize on their few chances?

How to Play

The aim of the game is to score as few points as possible. Here’s how it works:

  1. Guess a Player: For each position, you have six attempts to guess the correct player.
  2. Scoring: If you guess a player correctly on your first attempt, you score one point. If you need more attempts, your score increases accordingly.
  3. Hints: If you guess a correct letter in the right position, it will turn green. If the letter is correct but in the wrong position, it will turn yellow.
  4. Free Letter: You can ask for a free letter, but it will cost you one point.
  5. Revelation: If you fail to guess a player after six attempts, their identity will be revealed, and you will score 11 points for that player.

The Perfect Score

The best possible score is 11, which you achieve by guessing all 11 players on your first attempt. On the other hand, if you struggle with every guess, the maximum score is 121. The lower your score, the better you perform. So, put your thinking cap on, and see if you can name the starting XI that faced Spurs in 2020.
