HS Football: Week Zero Recap

The most wonderful time of the year arrived last Friday night for the Upstate of South Carolina. Week zero of high school football season is in the books and we already have had close games to the final whistle, games that weren't close from the beginning, and rivalries renewed.

Coach Sheldon Evans started his tenure at Crescent with a 44-0 win on the road at McCormick, who was a preseason top ten team in Class A. All the Tiger fans in the Starr and Iva areas should be excited for this new era at Crescent High.

Daniel got their 2018 season started early and fast enroute to a 38-0 win over Liberty. The Lions are looking to have a bounce-back season from their 2-8 finish and a first round playoff exit last fall.

Easley topped Pickens in their annual rivalry game 13-7 on friday night. This was a great game for both teams as Easley showcased their athleticism and the Blue Flame showed improvement under second-year coach Chad Smith.
