CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina defensive tackle Sterling Johnson has signed a free agent deal with the New York Jets.
In 2019, Johnson was named to the All-Sun Belt third team and earned a spot on Phil Steele’s Sun Belt Conference All-Conference third team following his final collegiate season.

Johnson, who missed the Georgia State (Oct. 12) contest due to an injury, recorded four total tackles or more in six games, including a season-high eight stops in the season opener versus Eastern Michigan (Aug. 31). He also picked up at least 0.5 tackle-for-loss in all 11 games in which he played in as well.
